Survey on the needs of people with disabilities
in Luxembourg

What is the objective?

The objective of this survey is to evaluate what should be put in place in Luxembourg so that people with disabilities can manage their daily lives more independently.

The survey will gather statistics on the current situation of people with disabilities and will draw up an inventory of the aids and measures that people with special needs currently receive.

This survey will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which the Luxembourg Government signed in 2007 and ratified in 2011.

What are the data categories of the survey?

The categories of data collected or processed are the following:

  • Demographic data (date of birth, gender, civil status, education)
  • Family status
  • Income, financial assistance
  • Benefits received and known
  • Budget management and benefit payments
  • Characteristics of the disability
  • Needs in terms of housing, mobility and autonomy, daily life, household tasks, counseling and support, professional life, education and leisure
