Legislative elections on 8 October 2023 – postal voting
Please note that all Luxembourg citizens over 18 years of age are required to take part in the legislative elections for the Chamber of Deputies on 8 October 2023.
Anyone registered on the electoral roll may request a postal vote.
The request for a postal vote must reach the municipality where the voter is to vote:
- no earlier than 12 weeks and no later than 25 days before polling day, if the invitation letter is to be sent to Luxembourg;
- at the earliest 12 weeks and at the latest 40 days before polling day, if the invitation letter is to be sent abroad.
As of 17 July 2023, the relevant forms will be available on our website www.differdange.lu and from the citizens office of the city of Differdange.
Applications can be submitted electronically via a secure government platform (www.myguichet.lu), or informally on paper, or on a form to be obtained from the municipal administration of the voter’s place of residence.
It must indicate the voter’s surname, first names, date, place of birth and place of residence, as well as the address to which the invitation letter is to be sent.
The request for a postal vote must reach the council of alderman no earlier than 17 July 2023 and no later than:
- 29 August 2023, if the ballot paper is to be sent to an address abroad;
- 13 September 2023, if the ballot paper is to be sent to an address within the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
