Senior citizens’ council of Differdange

In order to work harder for the interests of our older fellow citizens and to involve them more actively in our society, the municipality of Differdange has established a municipal senior citizens’ council on the initiative of alderman Robert Mangen.

The seniors’ council is an independent and voluntary body that aims to promote the interests of the 60+ generation on a political, social and economic level. All suggestions made by the seniors’ council are passed on to the responsible alderman so that they can be discussed within the council of aldermen and be implemented if necessary.

The seniors’ council sees itself as the point of contact for the community’s older citizens, who can contact the seniors’ council at any time with suggestions or concerns.

At present, the council is obtaining an overview of offers and services for senior citizens in the municipality and is determining in which areas suggestions for improvement can be made to make the everyday life of older residents easier. The council also deals with general issues that affect people over 60.

Would you like to contact the seniors’ council?

You can contact the senior citizens’ council at any time with suggestions or concerns. Contact between residents and the senior citizens’ council is arranged through the Senior Plus Department.

Simply contact the Senior Plus Department and a member of the senior citizens’ council will get in touch with you.

Become active yourself!

Are you 60 years of age or older and would like to become actively involved in the municipal senior citizens’ council? Perhaps you have suggestions for improvements in your locality or neighbourhood, or would like to work for the interests of your fellow citizens over 60 in general?

We are still looking for more members from all towns and neighbourhoods – Lasauvage, for example, is not yet represented. Get in touch with us!
