Stay alert to the risk of forest fires

Depending on how the weather develops, particularly during prolonged periods of high temperatures and no rainfall, you are asked to remain particularly vigilant for the risk of vegetation and forest fires.

Advice on how to behave

  • Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground.
  • Do not light fires outdoors.
  • Barbecue only in designated areas and keep a fire extinguisher nearby (e.g., a container filled with water).
  • Do not throw barbecue embers into the environment. Wait until the embers have cooled before disposing of them in the designated areas.
  • Do not drive on meadows, fields, or in forests, as both sparks and the hot underside of vehicles can potentially cause a fire.
  • Do not block access to forest roads or fields to ensure that firefighters can reach the scene in the event of vegetation or forest fires.

In case of fire, quickly alert emergency services by calling 112, specifying the location (forest emergency point, if available) and indicating the access routes for firefighters when they arrive on site.
