We would like to inform you that all Luxembourg citizens over the age of 18, as well as non-Luxembourg citizens registered to vote in the European elections, are obliged to participate on 9 June 2024.

Any person registered on the electoral roll for the European elections may request a postal vote.

The application for a postal vote must be sent to the municipality where the voter is to vote.

The request for a postal vote must reach the College of Aldermen no earlier than 18 March 2024 and no later than :

  • 30 April 2024, if the ballot paper is to be sent to an address abroad
  • 15 May 2024, if the ballot paper is to be sent to an address within the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

As of 18 March 2024 the relevant forms will be available on our website and from the citizens office (Biergeramt) of the City of Differdange.

The request can be made:

  • by electronic filing on myguichet.lu
  • informally on paper
  • via a form to be obtained from the municipal administration of the City of Differdange.

It must indicate the surname, first names, date and place of birth, and residence of the voter, as well as the address to which the letter of convocation is to be sent.

Any person of Luxembourg nationality residing abroad must provide a copy of their valid identity card or passport.

The applicant must affirm in a written and signed declaration on oath that they have not been deprived of the right to vote either on the basis of Article 52 of the Constitution or on the basis of Article 6 of this law.
