The social office of Differdange is a municipal public establishment, managed by a board of directors, whose objective is to ensure that persons in need and their families, with their residence in Differdange, have access to goods and services adapted to their particular situation, in order to help them acquire or preserve their autonomy, as provided for in the law organising social assistance.
The regional social inclusion officers (ARIS) are also part of the social office under the amended law of 28 July 2018 on the social inclusion income. Their task is to establish an activation plan with the beneficiaries of the Revis in order to facilitate social and professional integration through stabilization activities as well as collective utility work.
The regional social inclusion officers work only by appointment and with people receiving the REVIS.

Social assistance
The social office is at the disposal of the citizens of Differdange to help them in their administrative procedures, to provide them with financial aid if necessary, to direct them to specialised services, to inform them of their rights and to offer them short, medium or long-term social support.
The social office also manages applications for solidarity allowances.
