The cost-of-living allowance (allocation de vie chère) will grant, upon request, a cost-of-living allowance for low-income households for the year 2021, in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the government regulation in council.
The amount of the allowance is determined on the basis of the composition of the applicant’s household. The household income must not exceed a certain threshold (see table of income limits). The allowance is exempt of income taxes and social-insurance contributions.
Applications must be submitted before 30 September 2021 using the form provided by the National Solidarity Fund and the city of Differdange. Applications submitted after 30 September of the current year will not be considered.
Documents that must be submitted with the application:
The application must be signed by all applicants who have reached the age of majority, or by their legal representative. All persons who are part of the domestic community are considered as applicants. The principal applicant is required to indicate all persons who are members of the domestic community.
Please note that the application, duly completed and signed, must be returned to the National Solidarity Fund, the administration responsible for the benefit.
It is no longer necessary to attach a certificate of household composition and an extended residence certificate. The documents you will need to attach to your application are indicated on the last page of the form.
Incomplete applications will not be considered and will be returned to the applicant in accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of the Regulation.
