A new chapter for the Maison Moderne

The Maison Moderne, a veritable Art-Nouveau jewel dating from 1928, bordering the Parc Gerlache, is about to write a new page in its history. Following its acquisition by the City of Differdange in 2020 and major renovation work, the ground floor of this emblematic building will be reborn as a literary café.

This new living space will offer a rich programme of cultural events: intimate concerts, exhibitions by local artists and many other events will set the cultural heart of our town beating. To create a unique and warm atmosphere, the future operator wants to give the café a resolutely vintage feel.
