Sort organic waste correctly

This belongs in the bin for organic waste:

Kitchen waste and leftovers

• Fruit, vegetable and salad scraps
• Tea and coffee grounds with filter and bag
• Food waste (also cooked, but not liquid)
• Cheese, sausage and meat scraps (also with bones!)
• Kitchen fats (only solid fats and those wrapped in newspaper)
• Bouquets of flowers and potted plants (without pots!)

Various household papers

• Paper handkerchiefs
• Paper napkins
• Household paper
• Paper with food waste

Garden and plant waste

• Hedge cuttings
• Flower and shrub waste
• Vegetable plant waste
• Lawn cuttings
• Leaves
• Weeds and diseased plants

This does not belong in the bin for organic waste:

• Glass
• Plastics such as plastic bags
• Coffee capsules
• Composite packaging
• Metals
• Diapers and sanitary pads
• Stones, soil, building rubble (except potting soil)
• Ash
• Street sweepings and cigarette butts
• Animal litter
• Vacuum cleaner bags
• Textiles and shoes
