Upon request the city of Differdange offers a free rose or a hummingbird vine to houses or residences of the municipality with a front yard—under the condition that they will be planted in the front yard.
The aim of this campaign is to beautify our streets and give them a distinct character, but also to provide food for pollinating insects.
You can choose between the Bobbie James climbing rose (max. height 5-6 m), the Campsis radicans (max. height 5-10 m) or the Grand-Duc Jean rose bush (height 100-120 cm).
The planting will be done by our local CIGL (December-January), the maintenance is to be done by yourself (see instructions). Please note: maintenance effort may differ according to the chosen plant.
It is imperative that the plant is placed in the front yard. Failure to comply with this condition will exclude the applicant from similar campaigns for the next 3 years.
You can apply via our online form or by calling 58 77 1-1252. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Registrations are accepted while stocks last.
