Current scenario

Projected scenario

The City of Differdange is implementing traffic changes at the intersection of Rue de Soleuvre and Rue Woiwer, also known as “Berto” intersection. These modifications affect the right of way and the speed limit.
The right-of-way at the “Berto” intersection between Rue de Soleuvre and Rue Woiwer will be changed: Rue de Soleuvre will have the right-of-way over Rue Woiwer. The diverted right-of-way, which is often a source of confusion, will be eliminated. At the same time, the operation of the traffic lights will be simplified. These changes aim to make traffic flow clearer for all road users, particularly for schoolchildren who use this intersection every morning.
The modification work requires favorable weather conditions and is scheduled for Thursday, 30 April 2026. To minimize disruption, municipal services will take advantage of the Easter holidays to adapt the road markings.
Information signs will be installed to notify users of the change in right-of-way. We urge users to exercise caution and follow the temporary signage.

As part of measures to improve road safety, a new speed limit will also be implemented on Rue Woiwer.
The speed limit on Rue Woiwer will be reduced from 50 km/h to 30 km/h on the stretch between Rue de Soleuvre and Rue Pierre Martin.
This measure is intended to improve safety for residents and vulnerable road users, particularly near schools.
