Nuisance: dog poo

The City is reminding all dog owners that they must dispose of their pets’ poo💩 in a rubbish bin and use plastic bags for this.

What to do? 👍🗑️

  • Pick up after your dog wherever you are.
  • Use the plastic bags provided in the yellow boxes hanging from public rubbish bins all over the city.
  • Dispose of excrement immediately in the bins to avoid polluting public spaces. 🐕‍🦺

Why? 🚫

  • To keep our town and public spaces clean.
  • To protect the health of children and other citizens. Dog droppings can carry diseases and parasites.
  • Out of respect for others, to avoid nuisance and unpleasant odours.
  • Out of respect for neighbours: it is also important to clean up droppings on your private property to avoid unpleasant odours and preserve a good relationship with your neighbours. 🏡

Consequences

  • Offence: leaving dog excrement in public places is no minor offence. It can be punishable by a fine of up to €155! 💸
  • Impact on the community: leaving excrement in public places creates a bad image and harms everyone’s quality of life.

Together, let’s preserve a clean and pleasant environment for everyone!
