Interpreting kits for clubs in Differdange

Starting this year, the City of Differdange is taking a new step toward inclusion: translation kits are now available free of charge to associations in the municipality. The goal is to enable everyone to participate fully in community life, regardless of language.

An initiative born out of citizen dialogue

This project was born out of the first citizen workshop organized as part of the Municipal Pact for Intercultural Living Together. Participants expressed the need to break down language barriers that prevent many residents from participating. The City is now responding with a concrete measure.

A tool for social cohesion

How can you take advantage of this?

• Reserving the kit: send your request by email to egalitedeschances@differdange.lu at least one week before your event.

  The kit will be handed over in person at the Department of Living Together (16-18 Avenue de la Liberté, L-4601 Differdange) upon signing a contract of availability.

• Translation services: the association can provide its own translation services. In addition, the City offers each association one free service per year from an ASTI translator. Reservations can be made directly on the simi.lu website, subject to prior approval from the Equal Opportunities Department.
