Who to contact

Parents and teachers have regular one-to-one discussions about the students.

Parents are required to respond to summons from the class teacher, the president of the school committee or the regional director.

School personnel

The class teacher is the first contact person for parents for any questions relating to their child’s school career, but also every other teacher in relation to the subject they teach.

During the school year, the class teacher regularly organizes individual exchanges and information sessions and consultation meetings for all parents.

Chair of the school committee

The chair of the school committee can be contacted for questions that go beyond the day-to-day teaching of a class.

Regional director

The regional director of elementary education is in charge of the Differdange schools. He is the hierarchical superior of the teaching staff.

CI – Commission for Inclusion

The Commission for Inclusion is in charge of the files of students with significant learning, behavioral, psychological or other special needs. It has an in-depth diagnosis drawn up to ensure that the child receives the best possible care and adapted school supervision, either at the request of the teaching and educational staff of the schools or at the request of the parents.

The CI is placed under the responsibility of one of the deputy directors of the regional directorate.

Parent representatives to the schools

Parent representatives are elected every three years. They represent the parents on the school committee. Of all the elected representatives, 4 representatives will be elected to serve on the school board.

Every parent whose child attends one of the elementary schools in Differdange can run as a candidate from their child’s school. Information about this will be distributed to parents in due course.

School board

The school board is an advisory body to the municipal council. It ensures the partnership between the communal authorities, school staff and parents.
