Our social workers can meet you at your home or at the Senior Plus offices. During these meetings, you can receive information and guidance on the following subjects:

• Housing for senior citizens (CIPA integrated centre for the elderly, care homes)
• Long-term care insurance; assistance and care networks; technical aids
• Meals on wheels ;
• Emergency call service Telealarm ;
• Adapto specific transport
• Parking card for disabled people
• Guardianship;
• Pensions ;
• Dementia ;
• Administrative support (e.g. after a death);
• Information on possible financial assistance (e.g. cost-of-living allowance, cost-of-living benefits, assistance with the cost of accommodation in a CIPA integrated centre for the elderly or a care home).

The city of Differdange offers a shopping support service for senior citizens. As part of this service, the municipality offers, under certain conditions:

• to make purchases for you and deliver them to your home. The shopping will be done and delivered by the CIGL Differdange. The City of Differdange will send you an invoice for your purchases by post. The City of Differdange covers the delivery costs of the CIGL.
• to go to a pharmacy to obtain your medication (only with a medical prescription). The purchase and delivery of your medicines will be carried out by a Senior Plus employee, who will leave you the pharmacy invoice to pay for yourself.

This support is only available to people who meet all the following conditions:

• being a resident of the municipality of Differdange;
• being 60 years old or older;
• living in isolation;
• having trouble going out;
• having no family/relatives/care network to care for them;

If you meet these conditions, you can call the Senior Plus Service of the city of Differdange.

After assessment and approval by our social workers, you can place your order with Senior Plus.

Your order will be delivered as soon as possible. The deliveryman will not enter your home, but will leave the purchases in front of your door.

The Senior Plus service help people who feel isolated to take steps to participate in group activities such as the Aktiv Plus Club or festivities and activities organised by Senior Plus and the seniors’ committee.

The Senior Plus service and the Seniors’ Committee organise a wide range of festivities and activities for seniors in the municipality, such as
