Recently there has been an increase in the number of blocked drains, so we would like to give you a few tips here.
The toilet is not a trash can! Many things should therefore not be disposed of in it. This applies to tampons, panty liners, cotton swabs, bandages, but also condoms and cigarette butts. These must be disposed of in household waste.
Wet wipes should also not be thrown down the toilet. They are tear-resistant and do not decompose in water. In the sewage treatment plant, the wipes have to be extracted from the wastewater with rakes or sieves and usually have to be incinerated. Or they do not make it to the treatment plant at all and clog the sewage pipes on the way there. Food leftovers do not belong in the toilet either, because they attract rats.
