The festive season is approaching fast. Here are the most important dates for you to mark in your calendar.
The festivities kick off with the Hobbymaart on 16 and 17 November on Differdange’s market square. Organized by the Käschtefrënn Déifferdeng, the Hobbymaart will host the stands of 22 exhibitors. For those with small (and large) appetites, there will be grilled food, cake and, of course, chestnuts.
On the weekend of 22 to 24 November, the Lanz Bulldog Frënn Déifferdeng organize their traditional Advent Market in Lasauvage. The official opening is scheduled for 22 November at 6:30 pm, with a procession of children from the Lasauvage school. Concerts will be held throughout the event. And on 24 November Saint Nicolas will make a visit.
The official opening of the Differdange Christmas Market is scheduled for 29 November at 6.30 pm on the market square. The Christmas Market will run from 29 November to 22 December from 2 pm to 8 pm. The food stalls will be open from 12 noon! There will be late-night openings on Fridays and Saturdays until 10 pm. The market will remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. As well as the traditional Christmas stalls, the market will host an artificial ice-skating rink (details in the leaflet), concerts, an après-ski and a merry-go-round.

Would you like to meet Saint Nicholas? We’ve got good news for you. Saint Nicolas has told us that he’ll be marching through the streets of our town on 30 November starting at 2 pm— from the parking lot Centre-ville through the city center to the market square. He hopes to see many of you there.

PLEASE NOTE: The concert venue has had to be changed. The concert will now take place at the Oberkorn church.
The École de Musique de Differdange will hold its traditional Christmas concert on 18 December at 6.30 pm at the Oberkorn church. The concert will be followed by a graduation ceremony.
