National Day in Differdange

The City of Differdange is honoured to welcome the Grand Ducal couple for the National Day celebrations on 22 June 2026.

A rich and varied programme awaits residents and visitors alike, combining formal occasions, traditions and a grand public festival in the heart of the city.

Meeting the public

The festivities will begin at Gerlache Park with the arrival of the Grand Ducal couple at 5 pm. This will be followed, at 5.15 pm, by a presentation of the City of Differdange and its associations, highlighting the rich community life that brings the city to life on a daily basis. At 6.20 pm, the Grand Ducal couple will begin their procession from Gerlache Park to the Market Square to meet the public.

Official ceremony at the Market Square

At 6.45 pm, the mayor will deliver his official speech at the Market Square (Place du Marché). This highlight will be marked by the presentation of gifts to the Grand Ducal couple and their entry into the City of Differdange’s guest book. The Grand Ducal couple is scheduled to depart at 7 pm.

Open-air Te Deum and festivities

At 7.30 pm, the official Te Deum will be celebrated outdoors in Gerlache Park.
