The City of Differdange is actively concerned about its waste management. Through its door-to-door waste collection, the resource center and waste-prevention efforts the city offers modern waste management for private individuals but also for small and medium businesses.
Trash cans, trash bags, and bulky waste may be placed on the street no earlier than 6 p.m. on the day before the respective collection and no later than 6 a.m. on the day of collection.

Collections are organised based on residents’ needs in coordination with our waste management department, but only on Mondays.

According to the provisions of the Waste Management Law, the removal of bulky waste is charged at:
€20 per m3 + €20 for transportation
The following items are NOT considered bulky waste, scrap metal, or household appliances:
Residents of the City of Differdange can drop off their bulky items, household appliances, and scrap metal at the Differdange resource center free of charge.
Collections are made only upon prior request on the dates listed in our waste collection calendar. The removal of household appliances and scrap metal is free of charge.
