Blues Express 2026: Temporary Traffic Regulations

For the Blues Express, organized by the City of Differdange’s cultural department in Lasauvage and at the Fond-de-Gras, a temporary traffic regulation will take effect across several neighborhoods in the municipality.

Road closures, detours, and parking restrictions will be put in place to ensure the safety of the musicians, visitors, and all road users. Here’s everything you need to know.

Road Closures and Restricted Zone

For safety reasons, the event will take place within a closed-off area, marked by barriers and the “No Entry” and “Road Closed” signs.

• From July 11, 2026, at 8:00 AM until July 12 at 12:00 PM: no entry toward Lasauvage at the “Blô Brâk” intersection.
• On July 11, 2026, from 4:30 PM until the end of the event, no entry (except for vehicles displaying an AAA, Fond-de-Gras, or Lasauvage pass):
  • at the “Blô Brâk” intersection (toward Niederkorn);
  • at the Col de l’Europe, past the last house (toward “Blô Brâk” and Fond-de-Gras);
  • at the rue de Rodange / Roudenhaff junction (toward Lasauvage).

Detours

Traffic will be rerouted as follows:

• From Lasauvage and Rodange toward Differdange → detour via Pétange.
• From Differdange toward Rodange and Lasauvage → detour via Pétange and Lamadelaine.
• Through traffic closed on the route de Longwy, near the roundabout.

Parking Restrictions

Several areas will be subject to staggered parking bans throughout the period. Here’s a clear summary by location and date.

From July 11 at 12:00 PM until July 12 at 6:00 AM, parking will also be banned on rue Principale (between Place Saintignon and house No. 153) and in several parking lots (Croix de France, Ka.Gi.Bi, Place de Saintignon), with reserved spaces for emergency services, motorcycles, and people with reduced mobility.

Pass-Holder Parking Only

Certain areas will remain accessible with a pass only (Lasauvage, Fond-de-Gras, AAA, or VIP), from July 11 to July 12, 2026:

• Lasauvage / AAA pass: rue Principale, rue de Rodange, rue de Differdange, rue des mineurs, rue de la Crosnière, spaces in front of the church and near the bocce court.
• Fond-de-Gras / AAA pass: Graskopp 1 and Hondsterrain / Kannerbongert parking lots (with spaces for people with reduced mobility).
• VIP pass: Place Jéhan Steichen parking lot, in the spaces marked on the attached plan.

The shuttle buses normally parked at the “Haut-fourneaux” lot will be relocated to the Oberkorn cemetery parking lot.

Traffic on Boulevard Emile Krieps

From Saturday, July 11, at 8:00 AM until Sunday, July 12, at 8:00 AM, traffic on Boulevard Emile Krieps (access to the Contournement and Hauts-Fourneaux parking lots) will be reorganized:

• Heading from Differdange → Niederkorn: the right lane is reserved for buses and access to the Hauts-Fourneaux lot; the left lane is for the Contournement lot and continuing toward Niederkorn.
• Heading from Niederkorn → Differdange: the right lane is reserved for buses; the center lane is for continuing toward Differdange and the Contournement lot; the left lane is closed (reassigned to oncoming traffic).
• No left turns toward the Hauts-Fourneaux lot when heading toward Differdange.
