Implementation of measures to reduce water consumption

As temperatures have continued to rise, water consumption has increased significantly in recent weeks, and the threshold for triggering “Phase Orange” has been exceeded.

Given that a drinking water shortage is feared in the municipality and that immediate measures must be taken to reduce water consumption and preserve the reserves essential for supplying the population, the following restrictions are being implemented effective immediately:

  • washing vehicles, except at professional car washes;
  • washing sidewalks, garages, driveways, and building facades;
  • filling private swimming pools, above-ground (inflatable) pools, or private bodies of water;
  • changing the water in private swimming pools;
  • the use of high-pressure washers;
  • the operation of fountains, except for those operating in a closed-loop system;
  • cooling food and beverages under running water;
  • the irrigation of lawns, parks, cemeteries, and sports fields, with the exception of new
  • plantings.
