Revision of the general development plan
Like all municipalities, the town of Differdange is required to have a general development plan covering its entire territory. The PAG aims to ensure: rational land use, harmonious development of urban and rural structures, respect for the cultural heritage and protection of the natural environment, public safety and hygiene, improvement of the quality of life of the population, rational use of energy.
The objective of the general development plan is the distribution and location of human activities in various areas in order to ensure the coherent and sustainable development of the municipality, on the basis of the objectives defined by article 2 of the amended Act of 19 July 2004 on municipal planning and urban development.
In its meeting of 29 June 2021, the Municipal Council gave final approval to the amended version of the GAP, following the state opinions, observations and objections submitted. The new general development plan will, once granted by the Minister, replace the current one.
