Avenue de la Liberté Closed in Niederkorn on September 5

Lifting Operations — Traffic Diversions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to lifting operations using a crane near No. 133, Avenue de la Liberté in Niederkorn will be closed to traffic on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m..

Road Closures

For the duration of the work, the following closures will be in effect:

• Avenue de la Liberté: road closed in both directions near No.^{/sup> 133;}
• Road closed at the intersection with the Bei de Lannen parking lot (toward Niederkorn);
• Road closed at the roundabout (toward Differdange);
• Road closed near the hospital exit (CHEM toward Differdange);
• Boulevard Émile-Krieps: road closed at the intersection with Rue Émile-Mark (toward Niederkorn).

Avenue de la Liberté will be marked as a dead-end road at the CHEM exit (toward Differdange) as well as at the Bei de Lannen parking lot (toward Niederkorn). Access to the CHEM hospital and the Bei de Lannen parking lot will therefore remain guaranteed.

• From Differdange to Niederkorn: Avenue de la Liberté — Grand-rue — Rue Roosevelt — Rue de Hussigny — CR176 — Rue de Longwy.
• From Niederkorn to Differdange: rue de Longwy — CR176 — rue de Hussigny — rue Roosevelt — rue J.-F.-Kennedy;
• From Fousbann/Oberkorn to France: Émile-Mark Street — J.-F.-Kennedy Street — Roosevelt Street — de Hussigny Street.
  

  Public transportation

  Bus stops located in the affected area will be relocated or removed and bus routes will be rerouted according to notices published by TICE, RGTR, and Sales-Lentz.
