WeCulture celebrates what connects us: our stories, our cultures, and our desire to build—together—a community where every voice has a place.

In collaboration with the City of Differdange, WeCulture invites residents to share a fragment of their story through a sound, a voice, a word, or a song that has shaped their history and origins.

Each memory becomes an imprint; each voice enriches a shared narrative. As the project unfolds, a gathering space will come to life, where everyone can express their sense of belonging and reveal their cultural identity. Little by little, this physical space will transform into a sensory experience—a collective soundscape shaped by the stories and emotions of the people who make Differdange so rich.

This journey will come to life through a short audiovisual documentary tracing this human and memorial journey. As a testament to this collective adventure, it will reveal how individual experiences can weave a shared history, transcending languages, origins, and generations. It will facilitate the transmission of a collective heritage, through which everyone can connect with the past and understand their own role within a broader cultural narrative.

Listening stations set up throughout the city will also allow residents to discover these voices, memories, and soundscapes, transforming Differdange into a true living map of its diversity.

Telling the city’s story in a different way means going where the hearts of its residents beat. With its traveling “Parcours des Voix”, the project brings itself into the center of these encounters to share the life stories of the people who shape Differdange. Through the power of these personal accounts, it fosters a community spirit, strengthens a sense of belonging, and invites us to take a fresh look at our city.

This participatory and community-driven project gives a voice to everyone: from senior citizens—the guardians of our history—to young people who represent the future, and newcomers whose diverse stories shape the Differdange of tomorrow. Together, we celebrate the diversity of our human heritage.

Telling the city’s story in a different way means celebrating our local history, sharing our stories, and building a vibrant collective memory. These stories, engraved on magnificent, durable enameled lava plaques, will stand the test of time and bear witness to the human richness that makes Differdange’s heart beat.

The “Cuisine sans frontières” project is a community-based, multicultural initiative aimed at creating opportunities for residents of Differdange to come together, share experiences, and enjoy each other’s company.

In a city rich in diverse cultures, many people live side by side without really getting to know one another. Through cooking workshops, tastings, and seasonal events, this project aims to bring residents closer together, encourage cultural exchange, and strengthen social cohesion.

The neighborhood is growing, but it still lacks a true, modern playground suitable for all ages, with spaces for recreation, relaxation, and sports.

A place where children, parents, and residents can come together and share good times.

A skate park will provide young people with a safe space to participate in sports. This venue will allow them to get together, interact, and build connections around a shared passion.

A skate park will encourage teenagers to spend more time outdoors and adopt an active lifestyle. It could also host classes, events, and competitions designed to energize local life.

Finally, this project will demonstrate that the city is listening to the needs of its youth and is committed to improving their well-being.

Creating a dog park promotes a sense of community above all else. Beyond being a space dedicated to animals, it serves as a true gathering place for residents. Dog owners have the opportunity to chat, get to know their neighbors, and strengthen ties within the community. Infrastructure tailored to the needs of dog owners reflects a modern municipality that is attentive to the well-being of its residents and their pets, while offering a pleasant and welcoming living environment.

In addition, a space specifically designated for dogs helps keep public areas clean. When owners have a designated place to walk and let their pets run free, they are generally more mindful of keeping that space clean, which helps preserve the city’s other green spaces.

Finally, a dog park meets dogs’ essential well-being needs. Dogs need exercise, freedom of movement, and social interaction with other dogs. A dog park allows them to run off-leash, play, and interact in a safe environment, while respecting the animals’ needs and the peace and quiet of other users of public spaces.
