On Saturday, September 26, 2026, ACOMM is hosting its traditional street fair in the streets of downtown Differdange. To ensure visitor safety and the smooth running of the event, the municipal council has adopted temporary traffic regulations.
Here are the changes for the day.
No parking — from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Parking is prohibited on the following streets:
- Avenue de la Liberté, between house no.o 47 and Grand-rue;
- Grand-rue, between Avenue de la Liberté and the city terraces;
- Rue de la Grève-Nationale (except for holders of a valid permit);
- Rue du Parc-Gerlache, at marked locations;
- Rue Alexandre (entire street);
- Rue Henri-Dunant (except for holders of a valid permit);
- Rue J.-F.-Kennedy, in front of houses No.sup>55–57 (except for fairground vendors).
Vehicles parked in violation may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Streets closed to traffic — from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Avenue de la Liberté, between Rue Michel-Rodange and Grand-rue ;
- Grand-rue, between Avenue de la Liberté and the city terraces;
- Rue de la Grève-Nationale;
- Rue Alexandre, including access from Avenue de la Liberté (the street becomes a dead end).
Detours
- Traffic heading toward France: detour via Émile-Krieps Boulevard, Charlotte Avenue, and J.-F.-Kennedy Street.
- Residents of Grand-rue: access via Émile-Krieps Boulevard, Charlotte Avenue, J.-F.-Kennedy Street, and Henri-Dunant Street. The electrical pole on Henri-Dunant Street will be lowered for the day.
Two-way traffic — from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
To facilitate travel, traffic is exceptionally permitted in both directions:
- Rue du Parc-Gerlache;
- Grand-rue, between Henri-Dunant Street and Liberté Avenue.
Spaces reserved for the event — from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Parking for vehicles associated with the street fair is permitted:
- on Place du Marché;
- on the forecourt of the Opkorn shopping center;
- on Avenue de la Liberté and on Place du Marché.
Good to Know
We recommend that visitors use public transportation, sustainable modes of transportation, or parking lots located on the outskirts of downtown.
