Collec’Diff

Description

Collec’Diff is a community-based service launched in May 2021 by the City of Differdange, the Differdange Social Services Office, and Hëllef um Terrain (formerly Caritas Luxembourg), with the aim of fostering a sense of community in public spaces.

The service is particularly active around Gerlache Park, where it supports vulnerable youth as well as local residents, visitors, and business owners to identify needs, prevent social issues, and promote sustainable solutions based on mutual respect.

Collec’Diff operates through a network of several municipal partners, such as the Jugendtreff Déifferdeng, the Youth Department, the social grocery store, and social services, to organize recreational, cultural, or educational activities that encourage inclusion and social cohesion.

The initiative also aims to address situations of precariousness and homelessness as a complement to existing social services, offering compassionate and coordinated support for people in need.
