Fruit trees

Each household in the municipality of Differdange can receive a free plant to be planted on their property in Differdange:

  • either a fruit tree: Oullins queen plum; quetsche; peach; Nancy apricot; Nancy mirabelle; Hedelfinger cherry; Sour cherry; Renette or Winterrambour apple; conference pear; quince; walnut
  • or one vine
  • or a hedge: hazelnut; or 6 m of field maple or 6 m of beech (= 30 plants)
  • or a bird hedge (a mixture of 18 native plants that bear fruit in winter and feed birds): hazelnut; dog rose; hawthorn; black elder; wild dogwood; viburnum; blood dogwood
  • or a climbing plant: virginia creeper, ivy, hop plant
  • or a native tree: warty birch; common hornbeam; field maple
