In Differdange, it’s impossible to talk about fine food without mentioning Berto.

Founded in 2006, this family-run bakery and pastry shop has become one of the locals’ favorite spots over the years. At the heart of the project is Berto Alves, an artisan baker who grew up in Differdange and turned his passion into a true entrepreneurial adventure.

Alongside his wife Maria and their children, Stephane and Meryl, the family has built much more than a business: a home where expertise, creativity, and warmth come together every day. Their dedication and hard work led to the opening of a second shop in Differdange in 2016, and today they operate a total of three locations.

At Berto, every product tells a story: artisanal breads, golden pastries, generous desserts, and creations for all special occasions.
