On Thursday, September 17, 2026, the Tour de Luxembourg will pass through the municipality. To ensure the safety of the cyclists and all road users, the municipal council has adopted temporary emergency regulation No. 1063/2026. Here are the key measures to note.
Road Closures in Niederkorn
- From 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Rue Pierre-Gansen (between the Niederkorn roundabout and Rue de Sanem, in both directions) and Rue des Ligures at the intersection with Rue Pierre-Gansen.
- From 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Avenue de la Liberté near house no.o 234.
- From 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Niederkorn roundabout toward Differdange.
Course closed starting at 2:30 p.m.
During the race, the course will be completely closed to traffic. Access from side streets will be blocked by barriers marked No Entry and Road Closed. This applies in particular to:
- Niederkorn: Avenue de la Liberté (including access to the CHEM), Rue Pierre-Gansen, and all streets leading off them (Rue Haneboesch, Gadderscheier industrial park, Rue de Sanem, Rue des Ligures, Rue des Trévires, Rue J.-B.-Scharlé, etc.);
- Differdange: Émile-Krieps Boulevard (including the exits from the Hauts-Fourneaux, Centre-Ville, and Opkorn), Émile-Mark Street, Soleuvre Street, and adjacent streets (Oberkorn Avenue, de la Chapelle Street, Woiwer Street, LIDL parking lot, etc.), Charlotte Avenue (Parc-des-Sports Avenue, Jean-Gallion Street, Dicks-Lentz Street, Pierre-Martin Street);
- Oberkorn: Route de Belvaux and its adjacent streets (Rue Prommenschenkel, Rue des Fours, Rue de l’Eau, Rue Rattem, Rue Duchscher, the road to Belvaux).

One-way traffic after the race has passed
Once the race has passed, traffic will resume in one direction on the following routes until the end of the event:
- Avenue de la Liberté → Boulevard Émile-Krieps → Rue Émile Mark → Rue de Soleuvre;
- Rue Pierre-Gansen → Niederkorn roundabout → Avenue de la Liberté → Boulevard Émile-Krieps → Avenue Charlotte → Route de Belvaux.
No Parking
- From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: the parking lot on Rue Pierre-Gansen and Rue Pierre-Gansen in front of houses no 142 through 146.
- From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Avenue de la Liberté (in front of nos. o 222&# 8211;224, across from the Im Mai building and in front of nos. o 236 to 256), Rue Pierre-Gansen (from no. o 6 to Rue J.-B.-Scharlé), and the kiss-and-go parking lot on Rue des Écoles.

Our Recommendations
We encourage residents and visitors to plan their trips in advance, consider alternative routes, prioritize public transportation or sustainable transportation options, and follow the posted signage. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
