The City of Differdange is modernizing its Diffbus network to improve mobility for its residents. The new routes will be in effect as of 13 April 2026.
These changes are the result of a thorough analysis of the local mobility needs and aim to provide a more efficient and better-connected bus service.
The major changes concern Diffbus 1, which now operates with two buses running in both directions. This improvement ensures more frequent service and shorter waiting times. Niederkorn now has a direct connection to Differdange and Oberkorn, without passing through the old center of Niederkorn.
The route has been redesigned to serve new neighborhoods. The line now runs along Rue de Niederkorn toward Soleuvre, then crosses the Haneboesch industrial zone to reach the soccer field and the municipal workshops.
Rue des Ligures is no longer served, nor are Route de Pétange and Rue Prinzenberg, as these areas are already covered by the TICE and RGTR lines.
Diffbus 2 will retain its current route, ensuring uninterrupted service for its regular passengers.
Diffbus 3 has been reorganised to create an efficient connection between Differdange, Oberkorn, and Fousbann, with new strategic stops: Place Prince Jean, École Jenker, Place des Alliés, 1535°, and Arcelor.
Several bus stops have been added, including on Rue de Niederkorn, near the municipal workshops, on Rue de l’École, on Route de Bascharage, and at the police station. The names of some stops have been updated for more clarity: Centre becomes Foussgängerzon, Fousbann becomes 1535°, and Lidl becomes Zolwerstrooss.
These improvements reflect the City’s commitment to sustainable mobility that is accessible to all.
