If you file a tax return:

• Most recent income tax statement or, if you are unable to produce the tax statement, the income certificate issued by the direct tax administration (Administration des contributions directes) indicating the household’s taxable income.

AND (for single-parent or blended families):

• Certificate establishing the amount of any child support (court order, bank statement, etc.) or
• Sworn statement certifying that no child support is received.

If you do not file a tax return:

• Income certificate (certificate stating that you are not required to file a tax return) for the household.

AND one of the following documents:

• Most recent annual certificate of salary (employer), pension (CNAP), unemployment (ADEM) or most recent income certificate from the Centre commun de la Sécurité sociale (CCSS) for self-employed persons.

AND (for single-parent or blended families):

• Certificate establishing the amount of any child support (court ruling, bank statement, etc.) or
• Sworn statement certifying that no child support is received.

Recipients of social inclusion income (REVIS) must provide:

• Recent certificate from the National Solidarity Fund (FNS) or a copy of a recent bank statement.

If, for reasons beyond their control, applicants are unable to provide any of the above documents, the household’s taxable income may be certified by any other document issued by the employer or any document showing current income (e.g., monthly pay slips).

A. The parents live together with the child in a household:

• Income of the parents with whom the child lives in a household.

B. The child’s parents do not live in the same household:

• Income of the parent who has custody of the child
• Child support paid by the other parent who has acknowledged the child.

C. For a blended family:

• Income of the parent living with their child in this household
• Child support paid on behalf of this child
• Income of the new spouse, civil partner, or cohabiting partner living with them in the blended household

D. The child is subject to a joint custody arrangement (alternating residence):

• Income of both parents

It is possible to establish a service voucher contract without indicating income. In this case, please note that the cheque-service will be billed at the maximum rate.

The municipal administration reserves the right to request any additional supporting documents.
