The EDC proposes:

• Conferences and information sessions on European policies
• School and youth outreach: school visits, interactive sessions, and collaboration with local associations
• EU careers and mobility: Careers Days, EU Inter-Institutional Job Fairs, speed-dating sessions with the Europa Experience, and Welcome Sessions for incoming EU trainees
• EU funding and project cooperation: information sessions on Differdange’s Horizon Europe and Interreg projects (Cool Neighbourhoods, NextLogic, DynamiCity, STEER-NWE, Rivières)
• Citizen engagement and local democracy: neighbourhood outreach and mural projects
• European networks and institutional cooperation: EU Networks in Luxembourg, EU Mission Cities, and regular cooperation with other EDCs in Luxembourg
• Practical skills for citizens: CVs and cover-letter preparation
• Conferences, information sessions and workshops on European policies

Objective: to enable people to discover European citizenship and take an active part in it.

Our team can assist you directly in the following nine languages: Spanish, Danish, German, English, French, Italian, Luxembourgish, Polish, Portuguese.

The documents are available in the 24 official languages of the EU and adapted to all levels.

Carlos Terán

Carlos Terán, Head of the EDC Differdange, is an architect and urban planner who previously worked at the European Commission and was active in the EPSO Staff Ambassadors Network. He has also been the Erasmus Mundus Association’s Country Representative for Spain and Luxembourg, and is also a member of the Mouvement Européen Luxembourg. He now leads Differdange’s portfolio of EU-funded projects and represents the city within Luxembourg’s network of EU information centres, and serves as Differdange’s national delegate for normalisation at ILNAS. A member of the International Association of Hyperpolyglots, he speaks seven languages.

Martyna Lepiesza

Martyna Lepiesza, Communications Coordinator, supports the EDC Differdange with its social media outreach, events and citizen communications. She now manages EU-funded projects for the City of Differdange. Her background spans international relations, translation and language teaching, with several years of experience in the European Commission’s services, including the Publications Office of the European Union, as well as a role of EU Careers Staff Ambassador for EPSO. A specialist in multilingual communication, she speaks six languages.

Yes. All EDC Differdange services — information, publications, digital resources, and participation in workshops and events — are free of charge.

Yes, for in-person consultations. The EDC can be reached by email or phone Monday to Friday, 9:00–15:00, and in-person meetings are arranged by appointment via europe@differdange.lu.

Anyone with an interest in the European Union — residents of Differdange, students, teachers, associations, and citizens more broadly.

Guidance on EU publications and digital resources, get information on EU funding, careers and mobility programmes such as Erasmus+, and take part in workshops, conferences and citizen-engagement events organised or co-hosted by the Centre.

Some events require registration, particularly workshops and sessions with limited capacity. Registration details are shared individually for each event.

The team can assist visitors directly in nine languages, and EU documentation is available in all 24 official EU languages.
