Can I also call 112 from abroad?

Yes, 112 is a European emergency number. You can call 112 in all 28 member states of the European Union as well as in the following countries: Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

What information do I need to provide?

  • your name, address and telephone number
  • the exact address of the place, where the accident occurred
  • what happened (e.g. accident, fall …)
  • the number and apparent condition of the victims
